The basic goal of the forum is to become a platform for experience, knowledge and know-how exchange. The project partners along with the organizations provided the letters of intend (LOI), will consist the initial core of this forum. After launched, European civil protection units, non-government organizations, interested enterprises and relevant research organizations/academics will be asked for further contributing. Forum web site and physical meetings target in exchanging
experience of USaR operations, in knowledge transfer, in techniques and technologies employed in the ruins, in operational and technical problems, in medical and ethical issues. SMEs will also have a very active role.

The technology Forum website shall host blogs from some of the project members, wikis with scientific, technological and operational information and provide mailing lists and forums for public to partcipate.

A workshop stemming from the results of the operation of the Technology Forum will raise the awareness in specific parts of the industry that are likely to be interested in the technology that will be developed within SGL. Equipment manufacturers, technology-enablers, service providers and end-users will be invited to an event that will demonstrate the overall SGL platform at a near to market level. This will be the result of the development and integration work throughout the project lifecycle.
